No it doesn\u2019t effect F.I.T payments.
You get payed to generate electricity even if you were to use all the electricity you make you would still be payed.
You also get payed an export rate which is usually a few pence per kWh. Some energy company estimate you will use 50% of what you generate, in this case you will be payed 50% export so adding a storage system won\u2019t effect you at all. If you are payed per kWh to export you might find yourself around \u00a320 per year worse off but the amount you\u2019ll save by having the battery far outweighs this.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Every 3 month, 6 months or 12 months when you submit your generation meter readings, the provider may\/will ask have you made any changes to the system. Close to the fuse board, meter and main incoming ac supply. Some houses have fuse boards under the stairs, up high in the corner of the room near the coving, in kitchen cupboards or potentially in a sunken electrical box on the outside of the property.
Batteries needs their own ac supply and a data cable connection to monitor consumption in the property the data cable needs to be connected to the main incoming ac supply. There are 2 ways in which the battery will charge. The first is from any excess power you generate but don\u2019t consume, instead of exporting back to the grid the battery will automatically charge up.
The second charging option is directly from the national grid during the night when electricity is cheaper to purchase from your energy supplier, this is known as a smart charging.
